HIGH POINT - Mrs. Faye Johnson Brewer, 81, of High Point died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her home with her family by her side.
Faye was born June 3, 1931 in Surry County a daughter to the late Alexander and Ida Mae Emerson Johnson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Brewer, five brothers and one sister. Faye retired from Guilford County School System. She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had a wonderful sense of humor and she will be dearly missed. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by four children, Peggy Asbill of High Point, Paula Tuttle and her husband, Mike of Archdale, Carla Brewer of Archdale and Curt Kiser and his wife, Lisa of Archdale; two brothers, William "Bill" Johnson and his wife, Ellen of Archdale and Wayne "Buck " Johnson and his wife, Pat of Archdale; five grandchildren, Christel Oliphant and her husband, Mark, Emily Smith and her husband, Chad, Marcus Kiser and his wife, Aislynn, Matt Tuttle and his wife, Jennifer, Nick Kiser and his wife, Haley; and six great grandchildren, Ranae Tuttle, Savannah Smith, Charlee Kiser, Willow Grace Kiser, Sullivan Smith and Sawyer Kiser.
A funeral service will be held10 AM, Tuesday, October 2nd in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9 until 10 am, Tuesday, October 2nd at the funeral home and other times at 1259 Elon Place, High Point.
