The Daily Clintonin - 14 Feb 1938 - Mrs. Newkirk, 93, Dies Sunday; Last Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Olive Newkirk, age 93, died at the home of her son, John Newkirk of Clinton rural route two at 10:45 p.m. Sunday. She had been in failing health for the past several months and death was attributed to her advanced age.
Mrs. Newkirk was a resident of that vicinity for a number of years.
Surviving her are another son, Frank of Clinton rural route two; one daughter, Mrs. Ida Eller of Fairview; 25 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of John Newkirk with Rev. Harold Hotchkiss in charge of the services. Interment will be in the Rowe cemetery, near Nyesville, Ind.
The body will be removed to the residence this evening from the Frist Funeral Home.
