She was born Feb. 2, 1929 in Dedham, Mass., the daughter of John and Mary (Cherry) Lund.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold, in 2010; her parents; and her uncle, Peter Lund, who raised her and her brother John.
Muriel was married 61 years to her husband Arnie whom she met when she was 17 and who was the love of her life. Together they raised their five daughters, moving to Keene in 1967 and then spending winters in Sarasota after they retired. Muriel was known for her sense of humor and her love of family, especially delighting in her grandchildren and their lives. Muriel enjoyed theater, travel, gardening, her many pets, and rooting for the Boston Red Sox and Celtics. She and her husband were avid members of the BoSox club, attending many Spring training games and events near their Florida home in retirement.
