Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ithel Adkins; six sons, Gary, Lanny Ross, Dustin Sherwood, Randy Zane all at home, Rodger Adkins stationed in Alaska with the U.S. Air Force, William Milford Adkins of Canton; two daughters, Carolyn Adkins, at home, Wyona Rock of Mansfield; his mother, Mrs. Mary Adkins of Fairborn; three brothers, Virgil Adkins of Ashland, KY, Burns and Beacher Adkins of Fairborn; two sisters, Mrs. Mona Conley of Portsmouth, Mrs. Lucy Woolridge of California.
