Russell I. Cranston of Post Road, owner of the greenhouses at Cranston's Farm for many years, died yesterday at home. He was the husband of Beth H. Knight.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Irving H. and Oral M. (Reynolds) Cranston, he lived in North Kingstown most of his life.
Mr. Cranston was also a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of Reform '92.
His wife is his immediate survivor.
