Second oldest daughter of Jacob Miller and Jane F. (Aiken) Miller.

Lucinda Miller married first J.P. (likely Joseph Parker) Ball on 16 Sep 1856 in Scott County (likely in Le Claire), Iowa. They moved to Linn co., Kansas, and had two children, "Jennie" Mary Jane Ball and Alice Ann Ball (a third child, Utile, born in Le Claire in 1857, died in 1861). By 1863, Lucinda Miller Ball had returned with her two daughters to Le Claire, Iowa. (The family story was that her husband, J.P. Ball, had died in the Civil War and she returned soon after, but I'm nearly 100% certain that that story is either false or a fabrication... I now have information that it was a simple divorce.)

Lucinda married second Charles Harvey Martin on 05 Mar 1863 in Scott County, Iowa (likely in Le Claire). They had three children: Alpharetta Martin (1863-1865, so died young), William Elliott Martin, Sr. (1866-1940), and Emma Olive (Martin) Kough (1868-1951). Charles Harvey Martin died in 1874 in Le Claire.

Lucinda married third Adam Heavlin on 20 Oct 1875 in Princeton, Scott co., Iowa. They had just the one child, John, who didn't survive even a month. After Lucinda's death, Adam Heavlin married Mrs. "Delia" (Lambach) Archer on 14 Aug 1912 in Le Claire.
