Mrs. Hallie Cook Russell, daughter of the late Mr. D.P. Cook and Mrs. Ada Irvin Cook was born 23 Apr 1900 in Green Co. and departed this life at 10:00 pm Sun, 24 Jul 1983 at her home in Elizabethtown. She was 83 years, 3 months and 1 day of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Daniel Russell who preceded her in death 16 Jul 1965. To this union were born 1 son and 2 daughters: Jasper Russell, Mrs. Ada Beatrice Thompson and Mrs. Agnes Davenport all of Elizabethtown. Mrs. Russell is also survived by 3 sisters: Mrs. Iva Cook and Mrs. Lovie Larson, both of Indiana and Mrs. Zelda Light, Greensburg; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Wed. 27 Jul 1983 with burial in the Macedonia Cem. Rev. Ron Ronk officiated. Pallbearers were Varman Cook, Woodrow Cook, Glen Cook, Vester Ennis, Herman Lewis Cook, and Steve Ennis.
