Grace A. (Stuby) Innocenti, age 99, of Indiana, passed away July 22, 2016, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home.

She was born 1917 in Cambria Co. to George and Madge Flannegan Stuby.

Grace was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church, Alverda, and had attended the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and Calvary Evangelical Free Church, both in Indiana. She had also served as President of the United Methodist Women's Organization and had also been very active in the Youth Group.

She was employed as a secretary for the Indiana Co. Commissioners for nine years before becoming the first female Indiana Co. Deputy Sheriff. Grace resided in Alverda for 35 years before moving to Indiana in 1990.

Grace is survived by one son, Peter Leslie Innocenti and wife Peggy, Strongsville, OH; one daughter, Joy Berringer and husband Larry, Indiana; and her son-in-law Edgar Allender, Indiana; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Peter Innocenti in 1987, one daughter Fay Allender, one granddaughter, and the following siblings, Lula Stuby Joiner, Jessie Joiner, Margaret Wilson, Russell Stuby, James Stuby, Marie Williams, and Leona Groskos Schull.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Gino Cosentino officiating. Interment will be made in the Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
