She died of causes related to age Sunday in a Milwaukie care center. Mrs. Adamson was 83.
She was born April 19, 1909, in Jacksonville. She earned her teaching certificate from the Southern Oregon Normal School and briefly taught school in Southern Oregon.
Mrs. Adamson was a homemaker. She had lived in Milwaukie since 1957. An active member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, she served as superintendent of the Sunday school department for a number of years. Her husband of 50 years, James H., died in 1980.
Survivors include her son, Don of Portland; daughters, Jean Holznagel of Portland, and Joan Lindia of Narragansett, R.I.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
