(My Dad) Pete M.Esparza
entered into our Lord's hands with his loving family at his side on November 12, 2008. He was born on April 22, 1932, in Phoenix, AZ. Our Dad retired from the City of Phoenix after 30 years. Our Father served his country in the US Army (Korean War) and retired from the Army National Guard after 27 years at the rank of Sergeant. He is survived by his loving wife Velia of 53 years and his seven children; Yvonne, Pete Jr., David (Margaret), Robert (Veronica), Rose Ann Esparza, Olivia Salinas(Paul), Sylvia Martinez (Jose); 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; his 4 sisters; Inez Esparza, Lois Aguirre, Isabel Sakawatewa, Pauline Arredondo, and 3 brothers; Cayetano, Santiago, and Francisco. Pete will be reunited with his parents Francisco and Franoisea, sister Juanita Nunez. Dad, you will always be in our hearts, we will never forget what a wonderful father you were, and a hard worker. rest in peace. We love you. Visitation will be Monday, November 17, 2008, from 5 - 8 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, with Rosary at 7 P.M. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 P.M., on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at St. Mary's Basilica Catholic Church, 231 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
