"Pud" was the daughter of Mollie (Hitchcock) Laver and Roy Laver, both descendents of pioneer families in the Vancouver, WA area. Mildred had two children from her first marriage to George Bogh and is survived by her son Ron Bogh. Her daughter Bonnie (Bogh) McCarney preceded her in death in the year 2000. She is also survived by her daughter Vickie (Goodwin) Kirkpatrick from her second marriage to Raymond Goodwin. In addition, she is survived by her sister Peg Beard; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Mildred was a gifted musician who played the piano, organ, banjo and ukelele. During her younger years she often sang in harmony with her sister Peg during family gatherings. Her children fondly recall her melodic singing and yodeling during those special times. Mildred worked hard all her life until retirement. She spent many years during the Depression picking seasonal crops (often taking her children with her into the fields) and working in canneries. She never once complained during these trying times. She prized her independence and only reluctantly, because of health concerns, moved into an assisted living facility during her last year of life. She was a loving mother with a positive outlook on life and made friends easily. She will be sorely missed by all.
