PATRICK FRANK SANTULLO

Birth date: October 13, 1935
Death date: September 26, 2012

Surrounded by the family he loved, Pat Santullo, 76, of Hebron, KY, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Edgewood on September 26, 2012 following complications of surgery. Born October 13, 1935 to Italian immigrants in Bronx, NY, Pat was proud, even boastful, of his New York roots and Italian heritage. He met his beloved wife, Lorraine (Lori) Kruse, and they were married in 1961. Pat embarked on a varied and successful career in the insurance and financial services industries, first in New York and Massachusetts, and for the last 33 years, in Kentucky. For many of those years, up until the day before he entered the hospital, Pat and Lori worked side-by-side to help clients prepare for financially secure retirements. They took pride in their business and counted their clients among their many close friends. A loving and devoted husband and father, Pat was passionate about life and everyone and everything he touched-family and friends including four-legged friends, home, church, God, country, neighbors, community, work, learning, food, movies, music, books, politics, finance, the economy and more. Pat, an avid movie buff, somehow connected every life event to a movie, many of which he had seen dozens of times. Full of energy and never complacent, Pat and Lori toured Italy this past July and Pat served as a volunteer at the Boone County Animal Shelter where he cared for stray and abandoned animals. He was a long-time member of Hebron Lutheran Church and an active participant in Toastmasters International where he honed his speaking and leadership skills. A large man with an even larger heart, Pat never met a person he wouldn't talk to, if they would listen, and he knew at least the first names of the regulars at his favorite stores and restaurants. And as a spiritual man with a kind and gentle soul, Pat always gave to others. Memories of Pat will be shared and treasured by Lori, his beloved wife of 51 years, son Andrew, daughter Laura, grandson Christopher, sisters Vera, Marie and Gloria, devoted best friends and dogs, Sam and Callie, and countless other family members and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, humor and zest for life. He will be missed.
