Stanley G. Patterson was born in Smyra Mills, Maine on 09/21/1912 the son of John Patterson and Carrie Chapman Patterson. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked the Monson Slate Quarries and as a road commissioner and sexton for the town of Abbot, Maine. He was the husband of Marguerite Knowlton Hall Patterson. He was survived by his wife; three sons, Dallas, Dennis, and Rogan; three daughters, Ione Wilson, Gloria Knowlton, Phyllis Tuttle; four step sons, Dwinal, Fred, Lloyd, and Richard Hall; one step daughter, Carolyn Hall Skinner; two brothers, Vern and Guy; and two sisters, Nellie Crockett and Mona Wescot. He was laid to rest at Lawn Cemetery in Guilford, Maine in the Spring of 1979. He was murdered during a home robbery.
