"Mrs. Cornelia Collins.
At two o'clock Monday morning, January 14, at the family home in Ketchum, Oklahoma, Mrs. Cornelia Collins, wife of Ambrose Collins, departed this life and crossed the silent river.
She was born 69 years ago, her father and mother being William R. and Sarah Holt who owned and lived on the farm 4 miles northeast of Skidmore, known as the Collins farm, now owned by Floyd Brown. Until the removal of the family to Oklahoma, about a year ago, she lived continuously at the old homestead and was a most honored member of the community.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss, a son, W. B. Collins who resides in Ketchum, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, daughters of W. B. Collins; a sister, Mrs. John W. Linville of Skidmore and a brother, B. W. Holt who resides in Thomas, Oklahoma, but is now visiting with relatives in this vicinity.
The funeral and burial service which was held in Ketchum, Tuesday afternoon, January 15, was attended by Joseph Carden and Robert Smith who went from Quitman to show due respect to a departed friend and neighbor."
