Henry worked for International Shoe Company for several years. The Balsters were members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Henry died in March of 1934 at the age of 41.

Laura married Herbert W. Peters on 07 Feb 1948. He passed away in March of 1975.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto.

At the time of her death at Eden Village Care Center, Laura was 88 years, 9 months and 28 days old. She was survived by 2 sons, Dr. Vernon Balster of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rev. Donald Balster of Hinsdale, Illinois; 2 daughters, Carolyn Oakley of Troy, and Laura "Jean" Fields of Lakeland, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Clara Gregart of Green Valley, Arizona.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, Laura was preceded in death by 1 grandson and 1 brother, Walter Aljets.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m. on 10 May 1992 at Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. the following morning at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto. Laura was buried between her husbands.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to Zion Lutheran Church, to radio station KFUO or to Compassionate Friends.
