WOODLAND - Harold E. Greene, 77, of Woodland died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1996, at his residence.
Born June 3, 1919, in Shiloh, he was a son of the late Floyd and Levoy (Welker) Greene.
Mr. Greene had been the owner and operator of the Harold E. Greene Barber Ship, Kylertown, and previous to that had been a barber in East Williamson N.Y.
He was a member of West Side Church of Christ, Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Club and Frenchville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Frenchville.
He was a veteran of World War II. having served with the U.S. Army.
On June 3, 1944, he married Irene D. (Derks) Green, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Brian J. of State College, James D. of Home Camp, Gary S. Clearfield and Dennis S of Newark, N.J.; one daughter, Michelle M. Johnson of Clearfield; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbert Greene of Treasure Lake and Loren Green of Frenchville; and one sister, Marietta Jones of Shiloh.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with John Wright officiating.
Interment will be in Bigler Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services.
Military honors will be accorded at the graveside by members of the honor guard of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW posts.
