Obituary:
Mrs. Alma H. Lowrey, 66, of 44 Lake, Trenton, MO, died at 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 1972, in Wright Memorial Hospital. She had been ill several weeks with a tumor of the brain.
Mrs. Lowrey was born February 24, 1906, at Sterling, NE, a daughter of Rudolph T. and Eliza Granneman Thiesfeld. She attended Sterling school and taught school several terms in Nebraska.
In 1929 she was married to William L. Lowrey in Sterling, and they lived on a farm southwest of Douglas, NE until moving to Spickard, MO in 1939. In November of 1971 they retired from farming and moved to Trenton, where she was very happy in her new home until she was stricken with her fatal illness.
She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Surviving are her husband, William; one daughter, Lila Kincade of Kansas City, MO; three sons, Donald Lowrey of Spickard, MO, Billy of Princeton, MO, and Galen of Laredo, MO; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Zahn of Syracuse, NE, Miss Hulda Thiesfeld of Sterling, NE and Mrs. Lydia Egger of Douglas, NE; three brothers, Henry Thiesfeld of Pawnee Manor, Pawnee, NE, Louis and Reinhold Thiesfeld, both of Sterling, NE; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral services were held in the Blackmore-Whitaker Funeral Home Friday afternoon, June 2, with the Rev. Clayton Davis officiating. Burial was at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
