Stabbed in the stomach.
Guthrie, I. T., (Oklahoma) Dec. 1. 1889 — James Wright, son of R.M. Wright, a prominent merchant of Dodge City, Kan.,was stabbed in the stomach and killed early this morning in a dance house by a swindler named Campbell, who sought him arrested. Campbell, who sought vengeance against the man who had him arrested. Campbell is now under arrest and strongly guarded for fear of viloence.

On last Sunday James E. Wright died at Guthrie, I.T. (Oklahoma), from a knife wound received by the hands of a madman... James Wright was born in Missouri on May 10th, 1867 and was raised in our city.

Kenneth Campbell, who killed James Wright of this city, at Guthrie, I.T. (Oklahoma), in December 1889, was tried in the U.S. district court at Wichita last week. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
