Obit-Malcolm L. Barber, 75, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM Monday, January 25, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Miller oficiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. A son of the late Elmo and Velma Barber, he was born on April 27, 1934 in Covington, Tennessee. He proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Korean conflict. On September 24, 1955 he and Leann MacDonald were married in their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee where they lived prior to moving to Wichita Falls in 1970. Malcolm was owner of Northgate International Harvester Truck Dealership until 1987. He later opened Malcolm's Ribs and Things which was lost to a fire in 1989. At that time he became self-employed as a Insurance Claims Adjuster. He and Leann are longtime, active, members of Trinity United Methodist Church. Malcolm served as Past Potentate and later Treasurer of the Maskat Shrine. He was a member of Lodge # 1158 AF&AM, Royal Order of The Jesters, was a Scottish rite Mason and a York Rite member.
