Connie Eleanor (Neely) Swarthout, 67, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at her home in Titusville after an extended illness.

Connie was born March 1, 1945, to the late Dale Neely and Alma (Armstrong) Neely Lefebvre.

She married Wilbur Swarthout on May 27, 1995. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2002.

Connie graduated from Townville High School in 1963. She retired after 36 years from National Fuel.

She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who loved music.

She was a lifelong member at the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church where she played the piano and organ for many, many years. She was a member of the church choir and sang in several cantatas over the years and belonged to the Woman's Missionary Society of Diamond.

Connie is survived by her mother and step-father, Jack Lefebvre of Diamond; her brother, Wendell Neely and his wife Kathy of Titusville; two nephews, Matthew Neely and wife Heather of Titusville, Brett Neely and wife Nicole of Townville; two great nieces, Sarah and Bree Neely; one great nephew, Ty Neely; her step-brother, Jack Lefebvre and wife Mary of Midway; her step-sister, Melissa Dami and husband Rich of McDonald; a sister-in-law, Patricia Swarthout of Oil City, two step-children, Vickey McGuire and David Farrelly; and several step-nieces and nephews, Jack, Barbara, Doug, Bennett, Justin, and Johnna Lefebvre, and Luke Dami.

She was preceded in death by two nephews, Ryan and Chad Neely.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church with the service to follow conducted by the Rev. Terry Brown, pastor, and the Rev. John Hall, former pastor, officiating.

Interment in Diamond Cemetery.
