LAKE DELTON -- Marvin L. Sommerfeldt, Sr., age 70 of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, June 27, 1995 at St. Clare Hospital of Baraboo, Wisconsin with his family around him. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 1995 at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Burial will be in the Dartford Cemetery of Green Lake, Wisconsin. Reverend Lee Koepke will officiate. Marvin was born September 15, 1924 to Ferdinand and Elsa (Wepner) Sommerfeldt in Ripon, Wisconsin. On June 26, 1955, he married Marilyn Zuehls and they celebrated their 40th anniversary the day before his death. Marvin was at one time a self employed truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Lake Delton; sons, Marvin (Seri) Jr. of Wharton, Texas, Montgomery of Baraboo, Wisconsin, Markham (Chris) of Madison, Matthew (Sandy) of Mazomanie and Myles (Wendie) of Madison; and daughters, Monica of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Mona (Lawrence) Gardiner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Michele of Reedsburg, Wisconsin. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Sherwood of Ripon, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a stepbrother, LeRoy Sommerfeldt. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 1995 at the PICHA FUNERAL HOME of Lake Delton, Wisconsin and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
