EDDIE "ALBERT" SUMNER, 76 Sargents Dairy LAKELAND - Mr. Eddie "Albert" Sumner, age 76, died of kidney failure Saturday (April 14, 2007). Born December 10, 1930, in Lakeland, he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired dairyman from Sargents Dairy. He was also of the Holiness faith. Mr. Sumner was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Malisha Sumner; and brother, Grady Sumner. He is survived by his sons, Lee Sumner, Mulberry, Daniel Combee, Lakeland, Eddie Mitchell Sumner, Cross City; daughters, Brenda Torres, Lakeland, Sarah Sumner, Tampa; sisters, Florence Dorman, Frances Lipham, both of Heflin, AL., Martha Harrison, Tampa; brother, Gene Sumner, Lakeland; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lanier Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery.
