HALEY, IDAHO | Jayne Maree Black, 57, passed from this earth June 22, 2012, in the loving arms of her family.
Jayne was the eldest daughter of Marvin and Elna Black. Jayne graduated Akron (Iowa) Community High School in 1973. In 1976 Jayne graduated from Des Moines (Iowa) Area Community College (DMACC) as a medical laboratory technician, and in 1980 received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.
Jayne was a small business owner and spent most of her professional life as a medical laboratory assistant in Rapid City, SD, and Haley, Idaho.
Her interests included international travel, quilting, spiritual awareness, gourmet cooking and gardening.
She loved to see things grow and thrive, whether it was her nieces and nephews, her beloved dogs, or her garden. Jayne loved to laugh and authored many a practical joke.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents and is survived by her mother, Elna; six siblings, Barbara of California and Linda of Colorado, Marvin of Iowa, Cy of Virginia, Mike of Illinois, and Mark of South Dakota: five nieces, Jessica, Morgan, Rachel, Melissa, and Jordan; five nephews, Christopher, Kyle, Thomas, Will, and Nathan; a grand-niece, Anabelle; 13 cousins; five aunts; and three uncles.
Although her death has left a hole in our collective hearts we are sustained by our love of Jayne and for each other.
Donations in Jayne's memory can be made to the American Humane Society, the American Cancer Society , or your local food bank.
