Sami-Jo was born in Shreveport, La. on Dec. 30, 1997, to Edward D. and Kimberly Gaither Javornik.
She was a student at Forestview High School and was active at the Cowboy Church. She loved horses and enjoyed the rodeo and was involved in ro-deo exhibitions. Sami-Jo was loved by all and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Faith Deary.
A memorial service to celebrate Sami-Jo's life will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Linwood Church of God, 830 S. Linwood Road, with the Rev. Randal Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m., also at the church.
Interment will be private.
Survivors include her parents, Ed and Kim Javornik; her loving sister, Jennifer "Jenny" Javornik; paternal grandmother, Theresa Ann DeCaro Javornik; paternal grandfather, Jacob Javornik; maternal grandfather, Donald Gaither; step grandmother, Anne Gaither and step grandfather, Dik Deary, along with six aunts and two uncles.
