ELMON LOEHR - WHITEHALL—Elmon J. Loehr, 76, retired depot agent here for the Pere Marquette Railroad, died early today at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon, where he was a patient 10 days. He had been ill more than a year. Mr. Loehr made his home at 120 N. Baldwin St., Whitehall. He was born in Kansas April 29, 1887, and attended schools at Melford, Ind. He married Merle Gleason April 21, 1907, at Lilley. The couple came to Whitehall, where he was station agent for the railroad 27 years before his retirement. Surviving are his widow, Merle; two daughers, Mrs. Frank Boyer of Twin Lake and Mrs. Charles Hain of Montague; a son, Henry of Montague; a sister, Mrs. Zoe Raab of Whitehall; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at White Lake Montague Baptist Church, where Mr. Loehr was a member. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Montague.
