George Duncan Jr., 64, Vale Summit, died Sunday, April 8, 1990, at his winter residence in Lake Okeechobee, Fla. Born July 19, 1925, in Midlothian, he is the son of the late George Duncan Sr., and Agnes (Walker) Duncan. His first wife, Lillian (Hitching) Duncan preceded him in death in 1971. Mr. Duncan is retired from the Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Company. He is a retired Navy veteran of World War II; a life member of Old Rail Post 6025 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mount Savage; and attended Eckhart United Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Edna (LaRue) Duncan; one daughter, Mrs. Georgia Michaels, Frostburg; two sons, John W. Duncan, Cumberland; and Allen G. Duncan, Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Smith, Akron, Ohio; and Sarah Jane Blank, Mount Savage; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Wednesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. George M. Harpold.
