Jewelene Marie Bacon-Hunter departed this life on August 25. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Frank; two children, Jasmine and Jheryl Hunter; a loving father, Lorinza Bacon; eight siblings, Pearl Bacon, JoAnn Jackson, Bernetter Geiger and Fay Jones, all of Atlanta, Floyd S. Bacon, Robert Bacon and Penny Bacon, all of Claxton and Lloyd Bacon of Athens; three uncles, Ulyssess Bacon and Gary Holland of Claxton, and Earl S. Bacon of New Rochelle, NY.; her mother -in-law, Ms. Louise Hunter; brothers-in-law, Marcus Hunter, Christopher Hunter, all of Philadelphia, PA, Franklin D. Geiger and Blake Jones of Atlanta; one sister-in-law, Kim Juanae Bacon of Athens, Ga; one great aunt, Ms. Sophia Brewton.
She leaves a host of loving nieces, nephew, friends and the students of the third grade class of Liberty Elementary School on Midway, Ga.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, 7-8 p.m in Midway at Dorchester-Pierce Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation for Harper's Funeral Home will be held Friday, Aug. 31, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. in the Chapel at Harper's Funeral Home.
Homegoing services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1, 2 p.m. at Historic Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Claxton, with the Rev. Victor Brewton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
