Final rites for Roy Fred Brose, 57, a farmer of the Savage community, were held Thursday, September 14, 1961 at Yellowstone Community Church in Savage. Cloyd-Gorder Mortuary of Sidney directed arrangements.
Mr. Brose died at a state hospital Sept. 8, 1961
He was born at Howard Lake, Minn., Feb. 25, 1904, a sone of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brose and moved with his parents to Dickinson, ND, in 1907. Nine years later, the family moved to Three Buttes community in Richland County, where he helped his parents on the farm. He married Dorothy Putnam at Glendive, March 30, 1935 and they farmed in the Savage area until his death. He was a member of Yellowstone Community Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, four sons, Duane, Dwight, Kenneth, & Dean; four daughters Doris, Evelyn, Lyla and JoAn; four sisters, and a grandson and grandaughter.
One son, Victor, a sister and a brother preceeded him in death.
Interment was in Riverview Cemetery of Savage.
