Mrs. Elsie Irene Hawkins Holloway, age 98, of Old Brickyard Road, North Wilkesboro died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Villages of Wilkes Skilled Care.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Cornerstone Church with Pastor Danny Beshears, Rev. Paul Siceloff and Mr. Danny Stone officiating. Burial was in Bethany Baptist church cemetery in Rock Creek Community.
Mrs. Holloway was born January 31, 1913 in Weatherford, Texas to Isaac Marion and Georgia Ann Gee Hawkins. Before retiring, she worked for Roses Dept Store. Mrs. Holloway was a member of Bibleway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Jackson Holloway.
She is survived by: two daughters, Jeri Sebastian and husband, William James of Roaring River; Leanna Johnson of Elgin, TX; one son, Jack Holloway and wife, Mary of Union Church, MS; 11 grandchildren, Latreca Collins, Scott and Beckie Sebastian, Noah and Robin Sebastian, Benjamin Sebastian, Danny and Debbie Holloway, Cindy and Brian Petty, Linda and Myron Titus, Jenny and Bobbie Jones, David Holloway, Marty and Terri Holloway, Darrell and Kim Johnson; 14 great-grandchildren; 13 great, great-grandchildren; a niece, Jane Ann Barnes and a nephew, Rodger and Louise Zimmerman.
