Austintown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Robert Thomas Boak Sr. who died Monday evening at his residence. Bob was born July 22, 1933 in New Castle, PA. the son of Howard and Lena (Frank) Boak.
Bob retired from Cold Metal Products in 1995 after 38 years. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict on the U.S.S. Dixie.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, U.S. Steelworkers and the Dunkin Donut Club. Bob enjoyed and loved being with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife Nina "Nellie" (Congemi) whom he married October 29, 1955, sons; Robert T. of Austintown, Charles H, (Taren) of Columbus, Michael J. of Key West, FL., sister, Rita (Chuck) Congemi of Youngstown. He is also survived by grandchildren; Robert D., Daniel P., Brittany N., Chad M. and great grandson Jaxon. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ralph and Tim.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 pm Wednesday and from 8:30 am to 9:30 am Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
