Theophilus J. Leonberger, 71 of Rockwood RD 2 died March 20, 1974 in Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1903, in Rockdale, Pa., a son of the late Theophilus G. and Margaret (Carrigan) Leonberger. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Foley Leonberger; three sons, Theodore J. and Robert F., both of Rockwood, and Richard B. of Temple, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Kritschgau of Berlin; one brother, J. Harold of San Francisco, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He had resided in Rockwood for 33 years. Employed for 44 years by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, retiring in December in 1970. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. today, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, where services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery with the Rev. J. L. Hull officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Meyersdale Community Hospital.
