Funeral Services to Be Held Thursday 2 P.M. at Wheeler and Thompson
John E. Blankenbaker, 66, died early this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ira Boutchyard, 405 Bunker Hill street. He had been ill for several months.
Mr. Blankenbaker, who moved here from Alexandria about two years ago, had been a night watchman in an Alexandria brick yard prior to his illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Clore Blankenbaker; four daughters, Mrs. Boutchyard, Mrs. Ora Tabler, of Arlington County; Mrs. Bernice Carr, of Groveton; two sons. Clivie, of Springfield, Virginia and Clyde, of Washington; three brothers, George W. and Irvin, of Dunavant and Elmer, of Brock Road; a sister, Mrs Ernest Dunavant, of Brock Road.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Wheeler and Thompson chapel here, conducted by the Reverend L. B. Boutyard of Falmouth. Burial will be in the family burying ground near Dunavant in Spotsylvania County.
