William R. Sanford, 57, died Saturday, Jan. 26, at his home in Dunraven frohi complicat|ons resulting from a two-day illness of scarlet fever.
He was born in Dunraven Sept. 10, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Sanford, and spent his entire life in this section. He was musical, and his favorite pastiriie was playing the fiddle for dances.
He was united in marriage in 1914 to Irene Franks, who survives him. There are also four children, all living t Mrs. Harry Slade, Mrs. Huburtus White, Henry and Alfred, at home. Besides the widow and children there also survives a brother, Francis Sanford of Margaretville, and a sister, Mrs. Thurber Fairbaim of Dunraven.
The funeral was held in Andes with Rev. Reyriolds officiating. Interment was in the Sanford cemetery at Dunraven. The-pall bearers were Howard Ruff, George McMurray, David Birdsall and Bruce Kelly, all of Dunraven.
