Mr. Adam was born Aug. 20, 1902, in Waco, where he lived most of his life. He attended the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin and served as an apprentice in tailoring under his father in Waco. He worked in several clothing stores and retired after 30 years as tailor for Goldstein-Migel Co. in Waco.
Mr. Adam married Ellarie Eden on July 27, 1939; she died Sept. 11, 1988. He moved to Fort Worth in 1971. He was a member of the Waco Silent Club, the Texas Association of the Deaf, the North Fort Worth Baptist Church Deaf Ministry, and the Deaf Senior Citizens' Program at Goodrich Center for the Deaf in Fort Worth. He was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lil Browning of Arlington, three systers, Mrs. Jerome Trautschold of Waco, Mrs. Leon Jaworski of Houston, and Mrs. Robert Ward of Waco; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
