Lawrence Allen, 66, of Redgranite, died Friday, June 21, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Lawrence was born July 7, 1929, in Sand Creek, Dunn County, to William and Lula Mae (Harshman) Allen. He was raised in Dunn County.

On June 26, 1952, Lawrence married Donna McIntyre in Wheeler.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Lawrence and his wife lived in Redgranite where he was employed as a carpenter for many years by Norberg Manufacturing.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Donna Allen, of Redgranite; three daughters, Debra (Charlie) East, of Bossier, LA., Dian (David) York, of Eagle, and Denise (James) Golata, of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, David (Rachelle) Allen, of Houston Lake, Mo., and Dean (Jodie) Allen, of Oconto; 17 grandchildren; one brother, Leonard (Anne) Allen of Joshua, Texas; four sisters, June (John) Pepera, of Milwaukee, Ethel Cass, of Eau Claire, Della Kaiswer, of Elk Mound, and Joyce Anderson, of Little Rock, Ark.; nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Russel, Roy, and Donald; and a sister, Rozella Goodwin.

Funeral services were Monday, June 24, at New Life Church of the Nazarene in Wheeler with the Rev. Elmer Pannier officiating. Burial was in Hay River Cemetery, town of Hay River.
