A memorial service for Marlyes C. Mattson-Lango, 76, of Palm Desert, Calif., formerly of Maddock, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Maddock with Rev. Charles Ellefson officiating. Interment will be in the Klara Lutheran Cemetery, rural Heimdal. She died April 2, 2002 at her home.
Marlyes Mattson was born April 12, 1925 to George and Cora Bratlien Mattson in Maddock. She graduated from BCATS in 1943. She married Paul F. Lango Sept. 15, 1964 in Reno, Nev. She managed Hal Marcus Property Development Co. and worked for Benton Management Co. in Palm Desert, Calif.
She was a member of the Woodhaven Country Club in Palm Desert.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Patrick Randall of Georgia, Gregory Longo of Garden Grove, Calif., Paul Longo of Portland, Ore. and Roger Longo of Merced, Calif.; a daughter, Franceen Walden of Murrieta, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael Randall.
