Lilma Cooper Barefoot, age 87, of 404 Washington St., Whiteville, died Thursday evening at Columbus County Hospital.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Whiteville, with the Dr. Roger Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whiteville; a life member of the Medical Society Auxiliary of North Carolina; and former charter member of the House and Garden Club.
Surviving: husband, Dr. W.F. Barefoot of the home; daughter, Evelyn Singletary of Whiteville; three sisters, Treva Battle of Salem, Va., Dixie Nauls of Richmond, Va., Elsie Loubier of Lake Waccamaw; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at McKenzie Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church, Together We Build Fund, 412 N. Madison St., Whiteville, N.C. 28472.
