Francis C. Wynn died Saturday, November 23, 1996, at the Sabetha Community Hospital at the age of 93.

He was born December 29, 1902, the son of John D. and Catherine Dignam Wynn, at Frankfort, one of seven children. He grew up attending country schools in the Lillis area south of Frankfort.

He married Emma D. Genzler on May 21, 1935. She died in May, 1994.

Francis worked as a machinist for Union Pacific Railroad in Marysville for 48 years. He retired in 1970 and moved to Sabetha in 1994. He was a lifelong member of St. Gregory's Cathoic Church in Marysville.

He is survived by his son, Norman Wynn, Berthoud, CO; daughters, Sharon Roggenkamp, Sabetha; Carole Oom, Sabetha; brother, Morgan Wynn, Sabetha; sister, Katherine Helring, Vallejo, CA; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma; his parents; infant daughter, Jolita; sister, Genevieve Martin; brothers, Clarence Wynn; Gordon Wynn; and Harold Wynn.

Mass of Christian Burial was held November 27, 1996, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Marysville, KS. Burial was in the church cemetery.
