Harry E. Lehman, a widely known resident of rural Adel, passed away early Saturday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He had been a patient there for the last five months suffering from a blood disease. He was 72 years of age at the time of his death. Born in Pennsylvania he cane to Iowa in 1913 and following his marriage lived many years in the Community Center area. Rev Claude Wood officiated at the services Tuesday, March 23. Soloist was Richard Ehrhardt accompanied by Mrs Lewis Orase. Casket bearers were Larry VanDevender, William Payne, Walter Prouty, Alton Royer, Harold Hubbard and Larry Hill. Burial was at the Oakdale Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs Elsie Allen, of Adel, Mrs Helen Moore, of Oregon and Mrs Clara Wilson of Redfield. Also two sons George and Paul, both of Adel, three sisters and two brothers
