Floyd Babcock was born Oct 9, 1879, passed to sprit life Oct 5, 1894 after five weeks of painful illness, of Typhoid Fever. His remains were interred in Oakwood cemetery Oct 7, 1894, after services at the house. Mrs. A.E. Sheets delivered an excellent discourse to a large gathering of friends, and her remarks at the grave were both beautiful and impressive. The floral offerings were many, and the casket was lowered to its resting place laden with beautiful flowers. An offering from is class, of white carnations were presented by Prof. Liesenring and no pupil looked forward to the commencement of school duties more eagerly than he, but the Master said unto him "Come up brighten, " our stricken hearts repeat -- "Thy will be done."
