Dewey Vincent "Vince" Peterson passed away September 20, 2012 at the age of 79.

He was born June 4, 1933 in Shelley, Idaho to Dewey C. and Esther LaVada R. Peterson.

He married Gwenevere Riddle in Richfield, Utah on September 6, 1956.

He was raised in Shelley, Idaho and played football for Shelley High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp. and was honorably discharged in 1961.

Vince worked 18 years for Western Electric Installation, before transferring to Mountain Bell. He retired from US West in 1987 with a combined 35 years of service.

In his retirement years, he enjoyed boating at Lake Powell and spending the summer months playing golf in Star Valley, Wyoming.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

Vince is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwenevere; and nieces and nephews: Karlene Warner, Kristine (Von) Glasgow, Kathleen (Allen) Isaac, Stephen (Teresia) Arave, Spencer (Janice) Arave, Susan (Jon) Brewster, Helen (Craig) Woller, and Cindy (Quin) Christinsen.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Karl Bigelow; sister Byrle Arave; niece, Judy Checkette, and Gwen's nephew, Kevin Riddle.
