Irene Marie Ebner

Mt. Angel – Lifelong Mt. Angel resident, Irene Marie Ebner, 94, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side. Irene was born to Henry and Otillia (May) Zollner, one of 6 children. She was raised in the Mt. Angel area and attended schools there. Irene later married Ambrose Ebner on October 2, 1937, and had 5 children.
Irene worked at the Abbey press and then as a florist throughout her life. She had a green thumb, owning and operating the Mt. Angel Floral Shop and Greenhouses for many years.
Irene was a member of the Orchid Society of Salem and enjoyed crocheting, card playing and golfing, well into her 80's. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters.
Irene is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Robert Ebner.
She is survived by, children: Lynnette (Randy) Traeger, Mt. Angel, Sally O'Neil, Salem, Allen (Diane) Ebner, Phoenix, AZ, Jean (Rick) Rickard, Morgan Hill, CA; daughter-in-law, Audrey Konold, Salem; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and special caregiver, Lillian.
Rosary will be Sunday 9/23 at 7:00, with Mass on Monday at 10:00, both in St. Mary's, Mt. Angel. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel.
