Husband of Emily Lamb Brashear Lagow. He married Emily on Dec. 9, 1847 in Crawford County, Illinois. Ithra died in 1856 and Emily remarried to Richard Lagow, Jr. She moved to Texas with her children and is buried in Poe Cemetery, Millsap, Parker Couanty, Texas.

2. Elizabeth Brashear, born May 1850 and married Barton S. Pierson.
3. Nancy Belle Brashear, born Nov. 16, 1854 and died Oct. 23 1891. Married Ditto Brewington Nuttal.
4. Alfred Brashear, II, born Nov. 1855, and died Dec. 22 1929, in Millsap, Parker County, Texas. Married 1st, Joanna Lancaster, and married 2nd Lydia Lavelle White.
