Born on January 4, 1917, at home in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mae (Shiffer) Drake and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
She was employed at J.J. Newberry in Stroudsburg for 15 years, and then worked in the mortgage department at First Eastern Bank for 15 years until retiring in 1980.
After retiring, Marion was involved with Meals on Wheels for many years and also volunteered at the Pocono Medical Center.
Surviving are: three children, Mary Ann Lesh and her husband Richard E. of Hamilton Township, Carol Heckman Gagnon and her husband Joseph of Brodheadsville, and Howard F. Jennings of Hamilton Township and several grandchildren and nieces. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin J. Drake and a sister, Alice Baird.
