Funeral services for Mr. Charles McPhail will be held Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Good Shepherd Fellowship Church in Crockett. Interment will follow in the Latexo Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Mr. Charles McPhail, age 82, of Cypress, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Houston. Mr. McPhail was born November 18, 1929 in Houston and had been living in Cypress for the past 6 years, previously living in Houston for 43 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. McPhail was retired having worked in Sign Business Sales. He was a member of the Evangelistic Temple and had served as past president of the Full Gospel Business Men's Association.
Survivors include wife of 62 years, Polly McPhail of Cypress; children, Paula Diane Pavlik and husband, Lester of Yoakum, Sue Nichols and husband, Terry of Hockley, Kathy Greer and husband, Mike of Pattison, John Mark McPhail and wife, Lisa of Cypress, Libby Bryan of Katy, Lana Joe McCorvey and husband, Tim of Hockley, Carla Walker and husband, Daniel of Cypress, Becky "The Caboose" Dowden and husband, Cliff of Katy; grandchildren, Jason, Timothy, Leslie, Aaron, Joel, Lisa, Jeremy, Travis, Brock, Brandi, Sandi, Candi, Emily, Cole, Charles Lester, Ricky John, Kristin, Taylor, Hunter, Chris, Ashley, John Allan, Joseph, Autumn, Levi, Jacob and Brooklyn; thirty-two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives including, Mike McPhail and wife, Susie of Eastland and Charlie Boy McPhail of Crockett.
Preceded in death by parents, Judge C. R. and Eula McPhail; brothers and sisters, Corine Adams, Rubye "Boo Boo" Roberts, Buck McPhail and his twin brother, Royce McPhail.
