Willie Mae Wray, 95,of DeKalb, Texas, died Tuesday, November 2,2004, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Wray was born August 17,1909, in DeKalb. She was a homemaker and a member of DeKalb First Baptist Church. She was preceaded in death by her husband, John K. Wray, on January 26,1993; one son, John W. Wray, on May 2,1989; and one grandson, Johnny L. Wray, on July 24,1978. Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Leslie and Mary Wray and Virginia Wray of DeKalb; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Lemuel Proctor of DeKalb; one sister-in-law, Opal Hall of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Sherry Bennett of Lake Cormorant, Miss., Bryce Wray of Plano, Texas; and Steve Proctor of Sulphur Springs, Texas; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery. Texarkana Daily Gazette, November 4,2004.
