Obituary: HARMONY - Mrs. Annie Lee Bridges Templeton, 84, of Harmony, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Friday, April 25, 2003, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Templeton was born Dec. 22, 1918, in Iredell County to John Lee and Della Mullis Bridges.
She was a homemaker and a devoted, lifelong member of Winthrop Friends Meeting.
Mrs. Templeton was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Roy Houston Templeton of the home; two children, Margaret Ann Hicks and husband Randy of Winston-Salem and LeRoy Templeton and wife Carol of Harmony; five grandchildren, Marilyn Rash, Avery Williams, Shannon Wall, Mark Wall and Amanda Smith; five great-grandchildren, Melissa Rash, Amber Rash, Matthew Rash, Austin Williams and Isabel Wall; and a sister, Tobitha Hayes and husband Thomas of Raleigh.
The funeral service for Mrs. Templeton will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28 at Winthrop Friends Meeting, conducted by Pastor Harold Salmons, Pastor Milton Jordan and Pastor R.C. Redmond. Mrs. Templeton will lie in state from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service in the Winthrop Friends Meeting Cemetery. The Templeton family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, April 27, at the Winthrop Friends Meeting in Harmony. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is assisting the Templeton family with arrangements.
