Particularly sad is the death of Mrs. Lorena Wearda Stein, wife of Frank Stein, who passed away at Mercy hospital at 8:30 o'clock last evening of pneumonia following Spanish influenza. Private burial services will be held in the Miller undertaking parlors at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. H. A. Koenig of St. Paul Lutheran church in charge, burial being made in Graceland Cemetery.
Born November 4, 1805, Mrs. Stein had only passed her twenty-third birth anniversary. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Montje Wearda and leaves her husband, parents and an only brother, to mourn her passing. Long time residents of Boone township, the family have many friends in both this city and the surrounding vicinity to mourn with them the loss of a beloved wife and only daughter.
