Angela Agnes (Kubecka) Vasek, 77, of La Grange, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

Angela was born August 24, 1935 in Plum, Texas, the daughter of Edward and Jennie (Kovar) Kubecka. She married Anton Thomas Vasek on April 7, 1956 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum, Texas.

She worked for Phillips Petroleum as a map surveyor and was a member of operations for Alcohol Anonymous Alanon. She loved volunteer teaching at Hermes School in La Grange. She was active in the support of Combine Community Action for seniors. She enjoyed gardening and sold the produce she grew to family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Anton Thomas Vasek of La Grange; daughter, Laurann Vasek of La Grange; son, Barry Thomas Vasek and wife, Debbie, of Austin; four brothers: Bennie and wife, Mary, Richard of Spring, Gene of Oahu, Hawaii, and Anthony and wife, Jonda; grandson, Andrew and wife, Laura; great granddaughter, Margaret Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward Kubecka.
