FROSTBURG - Andrew Brode, 74, of 266 Welsh Hill, died yesterday at Miners Hospital where he had been admitted May 6. He had been in failing health 12 years. Born in Frostburg, he was a son of the late Andrew and Jeanette (Hill) Brode. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. Surviving are his widow, Jane (Lewis) Brode; five daughters, Mrs. Mae Maurer, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Alma Vandergrift, Sistersville, W. Va.; Mrs. Mary Virginia Stanley and Mrs. Annetta Sensenbaugh, Hagerstown; and Mrs. JoAnne Porter, Eckhart; two sons, Andrew L. Brode, Los Alamos, N. M., and Owen Brode, Parkersburg, W. Va., three sisters, Mrs. Annie Hansel, Cumberland; Mrs. Elizabeth Stokes, Kinsman, Ohio; and Mrs. Elma Miller, here; 21 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. [The body is at the Durst Funeral Home; services Thursday; interment Frostburg Memorial Park.]
